Summer Series #2
Georgia Hearn - London based chef and culinary trendsetter...
Do you eat to live or live to eat? Georgia, clearly falls into the latter category. She gives us her insider tips and explains it's not just the flair with which food is prepared, but also in how it’s presented.
Her perfect table: "I'm all about a yellow striped tablecloth! I then add plenty of brown and green, different textures and spring flowers like sweetpeas and tulips for an extra pop of colour."
Go-to table styling trick: "Layers! The more layers the better - I never host without my Clio and Clover rattan placemats. I layer these on top of my Clio and Clover linen scalloped placemats, and my tablecloth."
Favourite meal to serve: "We've entered my favourite season for produce and I'm taking full advantage. For a simple spring supper at home, I love roasting a chicken served with romesco sauce, crispy smashed potatoes with lots of herbs and a drizzle of honey. I serve this with a fresh spring salad with broad beans, crushed pistachio, asparagus and petit pois in a dijon dressing. To finish I whip up a rhubarb and custard pavlova - I love using the leftover syrup from the roasted rhubarb to make cocktails."
Handy hosting advice: "I'm a broken record but the key is to get ahead. Lay your table the night before, food prep as much as possible, reheat dishes if you can so it's really just a case of assembling the meal when guests have arrived."
Where she’s entertaining: "We want her as present as possible!"
Favourite Clio and Clover Piece: "My Clio & Clover rattan placemats which have a place at every tablescape no matter the occasion or season - my table is more attached to them then they are my dining chairs."
