The Clio and Clover team have been busy travelling the world this year, searching for a network of artisans whose craft has been passed down through generations. From hidden gems to iconic destinations, we bring you the cities that have captured our hearts.
Starting with our beloved local city. From storied streets to secret gems, London offers a playground for those who want to experience a unique mixture of culture, art, food and fashion. Consider this your insider's map to the perfect London weekend.
Where to stay:
Always wanted your own London communal garden, well now you can with the newly opened Chelsea Townhouse, which gives its guests access to this rarified local perk.
Live like a Notting Hill local in this chic boutique hotel, located in an iconic white terrace house. With all the charm and energy of Notting Hill on your doorstep this hotel is a clear standout.
Where to Shop:
Sloane Street has had a make-over and is even more pedestrian friendly with beautiful floral garden beds, featuring a "royal" colour palette of reds, purples, and blues, including drought-resistant plants to ensure sustainability.
Emilia Wickstead never disappoints with her iconic floral dresses the perfect addition to any summer wardrobe, here we come Wimbledon.
Jessica McCormack’s paired back non-traditional aesthetic is a firm favourite with the Clio & Clover team, from everyday diamonds to bespoke engagement rings she is the London jewellery designer of the moment.
You can’t go past the Soho House showroom in Duke of York Square. Their small pieces sing, decorative throws and cushions and sculptural wine glasses that elevate any dining table.
You can get lost for hours trying on all the colours in Fableus… we’ll take one of each please!
We could spend all day exploring the many rare and exquisite antique stores on Pimlico road, Sybyl Colefax & John Fowler's wallpaper and fabrics alway inspire.
Where to eat and drink:
Greek inspired escape Bottarga in the heart of Chelsea. Do not leave without ordering the burnt chocolate cheesecake
New Portobello Road hot spot Canteen was a firm team favourite. With a new menu everyday, Italian wine bar vibes and the most delicious courgette chilli pizza we have ever had, we couldn’t complain about the queue to get in.
There’s no better place to stand in the sunshine and enjoy a cold rose on a warm London day than the Cock and Bottle in Nottinghill.
Pavillion Road is a real treat in summer with outdoor seating and plenty of places to sit and enjoy an Aperol spritz and people watch.
Sunday evening in the garden with Clio and Clover, some pot plants and some fairly floss coloured peonies, signals the end of weekend well spent…
