48 Hours In Jaipur

48 Hours In Jaipur

The Clio & Clover team recently spent a week weaving through the vibrant streets of Jaipur, meeting the extraordinary artisans who keep the city’s creative soul alive. From centuries-old block printing studios to family-run workshops tucked behind pink-hued facades, we were endlessly inspired by the craft, colour, and culture at every turn. And

Each studio visit was a reminder of the beauty that comes from patience, skill, and soul. Jaipur’s kaleidoscopic colours, buzzing energy, and creative spirit left us endlessly inspired—and deeply excited to collaborate with the talented artisans who will bring our future collections to life.

We also uncovered the city’s most magical corners—places we couldn’t wait to share. Discover our second city guide in our summer series, 48 hours in Jaipur. We reveal the colour, the craft, the magic and the inspiration behind our upcoming Autumn/Winter collection.

Where to stay:

The Johri

A real gem hidden amongst the busy streets of Jaipur. A centuries-old family home of Jaipur's foremost jeweller family, this hotel has been lovingly restored with candy-hued rooms, a rooftop bar...

28 Kothi

This hip local hideaway went above and beyond to accommodate us during our stay. The in house all vegetarian menu was some of the most delicious Indian we had on the trip and we couldn’t get enough of the custom furniture and decor designed by local artisans.

Where to shop:

The very ethos of Jaipur—across art, fashion, pottery and jewellery —is brought to life in a vibrant, avant-garde manner at The Palace Atelier. Bursting with colour and maximalist prints this store is a must visit.

Ecru is the brainchild of two Kuwaiti born best friends who have created this swoon-worthy lifestyle brand that mixes Indian craft with Arabic charm. Think lavish block printed garments, marble and ceramic plates, and much more...

French jewellery boutique Diane Signh is a real hidden gem. Located across the road from Ecru, you’ll discover a treasure trove of Indian inspired semi-precious jewellery with a dash of French flair.

Parampara is a clothing and accessory boutique in the heart of Jaipur, which boasts a healthy obsession with vivacious Ikat patterns and enchanting embroidered dresses.

Where to eat and drink:

Adding to the list for the prettiest restaurants in Jaipur is Johri & Sons. The Chaat, or ‘Indian street food’ portion of the menu was worth the visit alone. Our attempt to order local wine however, did not go so well, we’ll stick to cocktails next time.

Bar Palladio, go for a cocktail and stay for the interiors... It marries Mughal aesthetics with a touch of Italian inspiration. Whilst the Italian menu is notoriously underwhelming, (which we can confirm is indeed the case), the extensive martini list was anything but...

Particularly special, warm, and welcoming was Cafe Kothi at 28 Kothi. Meals are made to order using farm-fresh ingredients straight to your platter. We were lucky enough to enjoy a special personalised dinner in their serene garden, surrounded by fairy lights and Marigold. Their vegetarian 'en vogue' set menu was the highlight of the trip. They don't serve alcohol, so you'll avoid a post dinner hangover the next morning.

Jaipur makes artists of all of us:

Jaipur is well known for it's rich tapestry of talented and elusive artisans, known for their respective crafts. We were lucky enough to visit some incredible small businesses that we will be working with to bring you a new range of hand block printed table linens, coming soon....
